We are down to the last two prevailing beer styles; Golden Ale w/ Citrus vs Czech Pilsner.  Our Head Brewer Max Filter has created recipes for both. The choice is yours citizens, which beer do you want to drink at Dual Citizen?

• Simpsons Golden Promise (85%)
• Simpsons Wheat Malt (15%)

HOPS: Lemondrop & Motueka

YEAST: Belgian Golden Ale

ADJUNCTS:

• Dehydrated Whole Lime
• Dehydrated Whole Lemon

 

CZECH PILSNER: Anticipated Release Date: 07/01/2018

VITALS:

ABV: 4.5%   

IBU: 30

SRM: 5

GRAIN:

• Weyermans Floor-Malted Bohemian Pilsner (60%)
• Weyermans Floor-Malted Bohemian Dark Pilsner (20%)
• Weyermans Floor-Malted Bohemian Wheat (20%)

HOPS: Czech Saaz

YEAST: Czech Pilsner

ROUND 3: SEMI FINAL

1. Chocolate Milk Stout (1) vs Golden Ale w/ Citrus (5)
2. Czech Pilsner (3) vs German Style Hefeweizen (7)

Bracket Play: 8 Seeded Single-Elimination Format

The initial bracket will be determined based on ranking or seed. This means, the style with the most votes in Round 1, will receive the first seeded position, the rest will follow accordingly by the number of votes received determining rank.  Styles will be paired off into individual matchups. In each of these, voters select the beer style they prefer of the two. We will simply tally up the votes for each matchup, winner moving on until there is one style remaining.

During each round we will be giving away prizes.  Winners will be selected at random. To enter the drawing, just provide your email address with each submission, so we can contact you and let you know about future events.  (This is not a requirement in the taproom)

Subsequent rounds of voting will follow a consistent timeline.  New brackets will be opened for voting Thursdays at 10am and closed Sundays at 10pm.  The final winner will be announced Monday, April 2nd during the halftime of NCAA National Championship Game.

We will be airing much of the NCAA tournament.  We wish we could play every single game but it’s technically impossible and games will be predetermined for each TV we have.

 

Round 2: Quarter Final, March 15th – 18th

Round 3: Semi-Final,  March 22 – 25th

Round 4: Final, March 29 – April 1st

Our Head Brewer/Owner Max Filter will write complete recipes for the two beer styles that make it to the Round 4: Final.   We will provide detailed descriptions for both beers, in hopes that it will make your final decision easier.
