The Good Acre works to unlock economic opportunities for farmers in the region through a unique combination of personalized support and market access.

The Good Acre was founded in 2014 in response to systemic inequities in our farm and food systems. As Minnesota's largest nonprofit food hub, they work with 100+ local producers, aggregating their harvests to fulfill large wholesale orders that might otherwise be out of reach for a single farmer. Sixty to seventy percent of the food that moves through the warehouse goes to food access programs including food banks and shelves, farm-to-school, and FoodRx programs. Since 2020, their work has scaled more than 600%: last year, they unlocked $2.5 million in economic opportunities for their farm partners and small food businesses, and this year are on track to unlock $3 million.

As part of the November partnership, Dual Citizen is excited to host The Good Acre for their 10th anniversary on Wednesday, November 19th. This family-friendly event will have a FREE MEAT RAFFLE featuring cuts from local farmers. Along with seasonal activities designed to bring together guests of all ages, and help raise funds in times of need.
