The House That Beer Built (HTBB) aims to bring local craft breweries and beer lovers together to raise $150,000 to fully sponsor the construction of a new home in the area. The program mirrors other successful similar in cities like Austin and Denver. You can learn more about the project here
“We’re so excited about our new partnership with Dual Citizen,” said Kate Loe, senior director of resource development for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. “As the lead sponsor, Dual Citizen is helping to make the dream of homeownership a reality for a local family, and that impact multiplies for generations.”
As lead sponsor, Dual Citizen will contribute both money and people-power to the project. We look forward to working with others in our amazing brewing community to make something wonderful and worthwhile happen.
We kicked-off the event by donating $1 to the project, for each Grand: Imperial Stout sold during February. We certainly didn’t stop there. In addition to our financial donation as lead sponsor, Dual Citizen has been working with Habitat for Humanity since early 2018 on a number of fundraising events to continue to build on our support and strive to help meet the projects financial goals.
Want to join us? Here’s how you can put your effort where your beer is and get involved with the project.
Volunteer:
We believe that the best way to lead is by example. As lead sponsor of The House That Beer Built we feel it is not only important but our responsibility, to volunteer our time to the project. We are asking those who feel likewise to join us. To show our gratitude, Dual Citizen has put together a Volunteer Appreciation Package, which includes:
-DCBC House That Beer Built T-shirt
-Post-build VIP Happy Hours at the taproom
-Free DCBC beer
-Light snacks provided
Donate:
If you are unable to attend an HTBB build day, no problem. You can still support the project and attend the Post-build VIP Happy Hours at Dual Citizen’s Taproom, by making a donation.
-Donations will be accepted at the taproom via cash or credit card
