Break the Bubble 6-9pm

September 12, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Break the Bubble was created to solve a big problem: How do you make new friends in the Twin Cities? Whether you just moved here or have lived here your whole life, it can be challenging to make friends. Some call it “Minnesota Nice” while others say “Minnesotans will give you directions anywhere, except to their lake cabin.” No matter how you say it, making friends here is hard. It’s time to change that.

We’re excited to host this Break the Bubble event as part of Make It. MSP. Welcome Week. Check out the full calendar for Welcome Week here.

So wait, this is a singles event right? Or a professional networking thing?

Nope. Break the Bubble is for making friends, pure and simple. You can leave the pick-up lines and elevator speeches at home. Refreshing, isn’t it?

What’s the format?

1. Show up

2. Put on a name tag

3. Introduce yourself to someone new

I heard these events have themes. What’s up with that?

Yep. Our events have themes because most of us need a little help kickstarting conversations with people we don’t know. Question to be announced closer to the event… we want to keep you guessing!

Is this just a Millennials thing?

Nope! Our events are open to anyone over 21.

At University Ave & Hwy 280, that’s where you’ll find us. We’ve been here since 2018, brewing an ever-expanding range of ales and lagers, including the 2022 World Beer Cup Gold Medal winning Mayhem & Mischief. Situated conveniently between Minneapolis and St. Paul, we are a community-driven brewhouse that proudly claims citizenship on both sides of the river.
Building community. Block by block. Drop by drop.
